“Best Dimension Yet”

The White House posted a 36-second cartoon. Slowed to single frames, it is a complete myth cycle, and you were never meant to see it at reading speed.

Opening

On July 26, 2026, the official White House account on X posted a 36-second AI-generated animation drawn in the style of Rick and Morty, with the caption "Hop in... best dimension yet." Trump rides in the Rick seat. JD Vance rides in the Morty seat. Coverage called it bizarre, called it a ripoff, moved on. Marjorie Taylor Greene complained it had nothing to say about gas prices. Everyone treated it as a shitpost.12

I slowed it down.7

At full speed, the video delivers roughly 82 distinct compositions in 36 seconds. No single image holds the screen long enough to be evaluated. That is the delivery mechanism, and it deserves a name: sub-analytical absorption. Nothing here is subliminal; every frame is technically visible. But narrative speed guarantees that the imagery is metabolized as vibe rather than as claims. A claim can be disputed. A vibe just settles in. What follows is the frame-by-frame inventory of what settles in, from the official account of the executive branch of the United States government.

The inventory

It opens with a libation. A Diet Coke, the president's personal totem, the twelve-a-day habit, the summon-a-soda button installed on the Resolute Desk,34 pours out across deep space. The stream does not fall. It travels across the star field like it has agency, and when it strikes a cartoon planet, the planet detonates in a full atomic-era blast palette. A consumer product as the animating fluid of the cosmos. Brand intimacy with power, promoted to cosmology, in the first four seconds.

Beside it, the presidential seal, except it is not rendered as a seal. It is rendered as a gold coin with visible edge thickness and rim lettering: a commemorative token. Eagle, shield, olive branch, and arrows all intact, but the frame is currency. The office, tokenized. This from the administration of the meme coin.

Then the arithmetic. Gold 3D letters over the galaxy: 1+1+1=3 Wins. A tautology staged as revelation, which is the signature aesthetic of conspiracy math, trivially true arithmetic delivered with the gravity of decoded prophecy. Three wins maps to 2016, the claimed 2020, and 2024, or it maps to two terms plus a third. The Constitution does not offer a third. The equation floats over the stars anyway, destiny-coded, and the video never explains it because explanation is not the register. The register is prophecy.

The saucer arrives over Washington next, and the staging is a direct quote of the 1952 DC flap, the founding image of American UFO lore:5 disc, green beam, South Lawn, gathered crowd. The whole scene wears a sepia newsreel filter, which matters. Sepia stages the event as already historical. Archival footage of a thing that has not happened. Then the green beam floods the frame entirely, revelation as saturation, and we cut to the payoff: Trump running the White House colonnade, red tie streaming behind him like a cape, past a wall labeled as a presidential walk of fame, framed portraits of the predecessors watching him go. That wall does not exist. It is the Hollywood Walk of Fame transposed onto the Rose Garden colonnade, the presidency filed under celebrity. Running beside him, bearded, bespectacled, carrying what a frame-by-frame read resolves as a Bible: the vice president.

Hold that image, because it is the coalition drawn in one cel. The theological wing and its covenant object in the passenger seat; the saucer, the tech, the captured future under the pilot. The two currents of this administration, fused in a cockpit, flag mounted on the hull. Then the balcony: Truman Balcony, seal on the railing, both arms up, adoring crowd below with phones raised. The wave from the balcony is monarch grammar, and the phones are the tell. The moment exists to be captured.

The second act is governance of the weird, and the references get specific. A CBP officer with a name tape reading HOMAN, the border czar rendered as a literal line agent, handcuffs a screaming insectoid extraterrestrial against a patrol truck at the border wall. The oldest pun in nativist rhetoric, the illegal alien, made flesh, and note the design choice: the detained creature is drawn monstrous, red compound eyes, all threat, no pathos. Even the cosmos gets processed. Then Artemis II, and here the animators did their homework: accurate SLS orange core stage, correct solid boosters, an Orion capsule with four crew visible.6 A real, scheduled, near-term mission laced into the fantasy so the fantasy can borrow its credibility. When Artemis II flies, this video will retroactively appear to have predicted something. That is the technique throughout: anchor prophecy to a known calendar.

Then the Senate, and this is the frame the whole object is built around. Green portals tear open across the chamber, alien machinery accumulates on the balcony, a sleek science-fiction podium has already been installed at the well, and business continues. Papers on desks. Clerks in place. The presiding officer presiding. Procedure grinding on while reality tears open around it. At the podium, rendered by unmistakable likeness, purple tie and glasses: Chuck Schumer. Who then reaches up and lifts his own face off. Underneath is a circuit board, green, wired, red-ringed mechanical eyes, and behind the peeled mask stands a second figure, the operator, holding the face.

Say it plainly. The official media organ of the United States government published an animation depicting the elected leader of the Senate opposition as a machine wearing a human mask. This is They Live grammar, V grammar, the replacement trope that conspiracy culture has run for decades, and it has exactly one political function wherever it appears: the opposition is not wrong, the opposition is not real. Debate is impossible with a thing that has no inside. Every regime that ever needed its opposition dehumanized has reached for a version of this image, and the pedigree of the move is short, well documented, and uniformly ugly. Here it is inside 36 seconds of content your government posted between policy announcements, wrapped in a cartoon so that objecting to it makes you the humorless one. That wrapper has a name too: the irony shield. It is load-bearing.

The opposition is not wrong. The opposition is not real.

The third act is an adventure serial. A giant Mothman, red eye cluster, bat wings, attacks the capital, and Mothman is a specific choice: in the cryptid canon he is the omen, Point Pleasant, the bridge collapse,8 the warning that precedes catastrophe. Against him fly Trump and Vance in the exact Rick and Morty saucer, flag mounted on top, firing lasers, both men laughing. They shoot at the omen and the omen shoots back and they keep laughing, and then the animation does the one structurally honest thing in its runtime: the camera swings around, and the warning they were laughing at is behind them, filling the canopy, and it catches them. Jaws fill the frame. The joyride ends in the mouth of the thing they refused to take seriously. I genuinely cannot tell you whether the animators understood their own third act. If they did, it is the single self-aware beat in the piece. If they did not, they built a myth cycle and missed its ending, which is funnier and more frightening in equal measure.

Then the title card, and the confession of form. The whole video resolves as a fake cold open: glitching electric letters in the exact Rick and Morty logo typography, spelling MAGA. The movement's name slotted where the franchise title goes, borrowing the show's cultural cachet, its audience pipeline, and its it's-just-a-cartoon deniability in one move. And after the logo, the classification changes: the official White House end card. White line engraving of the north facade, flag rising, PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP in spaced capitals. The same sign-off the administration appends to policy video. State insignia under the meme.

What it is

Run the sequence back as structure and it reads as a complete alternate civics delivered in half a minute: cosmic mandate, revelation event, coronation, enforcement extended to the stars, the space program claimed, the legislature unmasked as inhuman, the capital defended personally by the executive, title, seal. Every institution gets a fantastical double, and in every case resolution runs through one man. The arithmetic card carries the payload, three wins with no lawful path to three, and everything else is scaffolding built so a third feels fated rather than argued. The Schumer android is the ideological center of gravity. The end card is the signature.

The point of publishing this inventory is not that a cartoon will overthrow anything. The point is that the aesthetic firewall between government communication and engagement content is gone, and this artifact is what the rubble looks like: prophecy grammar, dehumanization imagery, and succession numerology, moving through the algorithm at a speed calibrated to prevent exactly the reading you have just done. They counted on nobody slowing it down.

Slow everything down.
